About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Learning in English to join our team at Star Radcliffe Academy. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a high-quality English curriculum that aligns with the Star Academies' vision and values.
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers to ensure excellent teaching and learning practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and student well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status and a degree-level qualification in English or a related subject.
  • Proven experience of teaching and leading in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform teaching and learning practices.
