Job Description

The Head of Operational Building Safety will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to achieve compliance with building safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the organisation.
  • Leading the operational team in ensuring fire and building safety provisions meet regulatory requirements.
  • Delivering results-driven services in line with relevant policies and frameworks.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to secure Building Assessment Certificates from the Building Safety Regulator.
  • Providing expert guidance to fire consultants and contractors to ensure top-notch compliance and safety.
  • Creating and maintaining procedures for fire and building safety protocols.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business to drive operational success.
  • Establishing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Corporate Health & Safety, Major Works Team, and Scheme Adoption.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Level 6 qualification in Building Safety or equivalent degree-level education.
  • Proven experience in managing operationally technical services, particularly in building safety management.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with various stakeholders.
