Role & Responsibilities

The Global Practice Head of Consulting Engineering at Wipro leads growth strategies, manages engineering teams, and fosters a collaborative culture, upholding Wipro's core values.

Team Management and Culture:

  • Foster a high-performance engineering team and a culture of collaboration that enhances our brand perception within Wipro and attracts top talent.
  • Ensure the practice is a safe space for our people to work, share ideas, achieve personal and professional growth, and champion change for Wipro and our customers.

Business Growth and Demand Generation:

  • Articulate the practice value proposition to internal and external stakeholders to highlight engineering capabilities that drive business outcomes and enhance Wipro's brand perception.
  • Build trusted relationships with the sales team and global account executives to generate qualified business demands.
  • Attract and retain high-caliber engineering talents to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Coordinate all practice operational needs (hiring, onboarding, offboarding, training, studio headcount, utilization, revenue reporting, etc.).

Requirements:

  • A technology executive or consultant with experience leading software or product engineering teams.
  • Big 4 or boutique software engineering background is a plus.
  • Previous experience in building a consulting offering is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of modern and cloud-native software engineering, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience managing software engineering teams of employees.
  • Experience in strategic planning, hiring, and setting up cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in coaching, counseling, and mentoring.
