About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to children in our community.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to children and families in a variety of settings, including hospitals and community clinics.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to children with complex needs.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the needs of each child, including education and support for families.
- Participate in clinical decision-making and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in paediatric care.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of children and families, and provide recommendations for care and support.
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and families on topics related to paediatric care, including child protection and safeguarding.
Requirements
- Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a current, valid registration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in paediatric nursing, with a strong understanding of child development, child protection, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
- Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a heavy workload.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
