About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our team at Network Rail. As a Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our rail network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, inspect, and repair the track network to ensure safe and efficient rail operations.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, at all times of the year, day or night.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver work safely and efficiently.
  • Lead the team when required and provide guidance on safe working practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical skills and competencies relevant to the discipline.
Requirements
  • Leadership skills to motivate and direct a team for safe and efficient work delivery.
  • Effective communication skills to deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues.
  • Technical skills in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
  • Safety awareness and ability to role model safe behaviors.
  • Problem-solving skills to find safe and effective solutions.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills and competencies relevant to the discipline.
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
