About the role
As a Welding Maintenance Technician with Network Rail, you will play a critical role in maintaining the daily upkeep of the rail network.
You will work outdoors in a team environment, supporting essential maintenance tasks to ensure the railway runs safely and smoothly for passengers and freight users.
This role is perfect for individuals with a background in construction, drainage, arboriculture, agriculture, drainage, or fencing, as you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and experience to a rewarding career in rail.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Welding Maintenance Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
· Maintaining and repairing railway infrastructure, including tracks, bridges, and tunnels.
· Working collaboratively with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the railway.
· Identifying and reporting any defects or issues with the railway infrastructure.
· Developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure the railway runs safely and smoothly.
· Participating in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
