About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Northumbrian Water. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our aspiration of ensuring every employee goes home safe at the end of each day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership to ensure health and safety practices are effectively integrated into daily situations.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop strategic initiatives and embed the Everyone Home Safe Every day (EHSED) culture across the business.
  • Review changing legislation, ACOPs, and guidance, along with the development of policies and procedures, to ensure clear guidance for front-line employees.
  • Lead a team of H&S advisors, motivating and managing their performance, to ensure the business is supported in its high hazard operations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure health and safety initiatives enhance and complement the wider business strategy and performance.
About You

We are looking for someone with a proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent people skills. You will have or be willing to achieve a NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent H&S qualification, which will feed into attainment of Chartered status of IOSH (CMIOSH). You must be able to drive and be willing to work across all three operational areas.
