**Job Title:** Behaviour Support Worker
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Reed. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with students in schools across Halifax, supporting them with challenging behaviour and helping them to engage positively in their learning environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement behaviour management plans, ensuring consistency and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Use effective de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations and prevent escalation.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them develop coping strategies and social skills.
- Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and external agencies to create personalized support plans.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, progress, and interventions.
- Attend relevant training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
**Requirements:**
- Experience: Direct or transferable experience working with challenging behaviour in educational settings.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and resilience, ability to adapt to different situations and student needs, understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Availability: Must be available during school hours (term-time only).
