Job Description

As a key member of the TOMRA Systems ASA team, we are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Manager to lead our Recycling Lean team organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and developing a strong business-focused team that can achieve business, operations, cost, and quality targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and experience in implementing Lean and agile principles. They will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing production processes, advising on cost savings initiatives, and implementing process improvements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Evaluating and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Advising on and implementing cost savings initiatives related to plant layout, new equipment, product design, and tooling.
  3. Leading the implementation and execution of Lean and agile principles within Tomra Recycling processes.
  4. Developing and implementing Six Sigma tools, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, GEMBA meetings, Kaizen, FMEA, DOE, Poka-yoke solutions, Problem Solving, TPM, and TPI throughout the facility.
  5. Driving a Continuous Improvement culture and ensuring changes are permanent.
  6. Improving product quality, eliminating unnecessary waste, reducing production times, and reducing total costs.
  7. Managing allocated projects and training employees in Lean processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and documentation skills, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. They will be a strong leader who can motivate and train employees to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  1. University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing at a similar position.
  3. Technical experience/knowledge in electrical, optical, SW, or mechanical engineering.
  4. Excellent verbal communication, documentation, and technical writing skills.
