Job Description

Sphera is seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our marketing team in EMEA. As a critical player in our marketing team, you will help us build awareness, consideration, and preference for our products and services, and build and protect our reputation around the world.

The ideal candidate will have some PR experience and a lot of initiative, with a strong orientation toward meeting deadlines and managing performance through rigorous metrics and insights. You will work closely with a retained local PR agency based in the UK, and the Senior Marketing Communications Manager, based in the US, to ensure our company PR program is localized, aligned across regions, and integrated for maximum impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute communications and PR campaigns to enhance brand visibility and market presence in EMEA with an emphasis on Germany
  • Write and distribute press releases in coordination with our local PR agency (UK)
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with press, media, and key opinion leaders to ensure consistent and persistent visibility of the brand and product stories in EMEA
  • Develop and implement strategies for media monitoring and crisis communication management to address potential issues proactively
  • Actively engage in and collaborate on European PR events and activities as needed to ensure the brand's presence
  • Develop a comprehensive local but globally integrated social media program in EMEA
Requirements:
  • University degree in communications, journalism, media studies, marketing, or public relations
  • 3+ years of experience in roles related to PR and communications in a B2B software company preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and current PR technologies
  • Excellent cross-culture communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills; German language and writing skills a big plus
