Kitchen Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Apex Hotels. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in developing a high-performing culinary team, focusing on teamwork, communication, and quality.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Conduct regular time and motion studies to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to junior team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
About You:
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Safety Management and Professional Cookery qualification at level 2 or above.
