Job Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant

NextGen Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a Specialist Provision located in Harrogate.

The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 8-16 years, providing individualized support and interventions to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in the classroom, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with multiple pupils, providing 1-2-1 support and interventions to address their SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils in achieving their Educational Health Care Plan goals, promoting their holistic development.
  • Manage and support the behavior of students, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
