The Anchor is seeking a highly motivated 16 hour Part Time Catering Assistant to join our team. About The Role:
This part-time position involves working closely with our catering team to prepare and serve meals that meet the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and providing excellent customer service. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, combined with your strong communication skills, will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present appealing meals that meet the high standards of The Anchor's catering service
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and efficient meal preparation
* Develop and maintain knowledge of food safety procedures, including proper knife handling and equipment usage
* Provide excellent customer service, responding to resident feedback and concerns

Requirements:
* A level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience in catering, preferably within the senior care sector
* Familiarity with basic food safety principles and safe use of kitchen equipment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
* Strong communication skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding when interacting with residents
