Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including obstetrics, gynaecology, general abdominal, vascular, small parts, MSK, and paediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Assess and adapt techniques for each procedure, taking into account individual patient needs.
  • Interpret complex data to identify pathological or incidental findings, providing accurate diagnoses as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals, providing clear and concise information.
  • Supervise and train junior staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • DMU/Pg Certificate in clinical ultrasound.
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration (or equivalent professional registration).
  • Relevant clinical ultrasound NHS experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
