Job Description:
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Aftersales Applications Engineer to join our team at Obscurant Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As an Aftersales Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our automotive customers with innovative solutions, managing product life cycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse and Identify Customer Needs: Work closely with our automotive customers to understand their current and future needs, and propose tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Product Life Cycle Management: Manage all aspects of the product life cycle, from conception to release, ensuring timely delivery and adapting plans as necessary.
- Project Management: Negotiate and agree actions and time scales for multiple, concurrent engineering projects with other project team members.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate effectively with development and test teams, and report back to management on product/project status.
- Specification and Testing: Create and maintain detailed specifications, and complete user acceptance testing to ensure efficient development and testing of new products and features.
- Customer Support: Provide expert help and guidance to the first-line customer support team and other areas of the business as needed.
- Pre-Sales and Marketing: Provide pre-sales advice to customers and distributors, and assist the marketing team with activities such as attending expos, content creation, and application notes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Proven experience in the Automotive, Motorsport, or Vehicle Automotive Testing industry
- Good engineering foundations and project management skills
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
