Senior Therapies Specialist

Young Epilepsy is a leading UK charity dedicated to creating better lives for children and young people with epilepsy and related conditions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Therapies Specialist to lead our Speech and Language Therapy team.
The successful candidate will have extensive postgraduate clinical experience in a range of settings, particularly in paediatrics, learning disability or acquired disorders. A strong understanding of dysphagia assessment and management is essential, as well as experience working with autism or complex needs.
This is a part-time position that complements employment as a Band 7 therapist. The salary for this role is estimated to be between £48,264 to £54,930 per year, inclusive of HCAS Fringe plus £4,000 LP allowance.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can provide day-to-day support and line management for our Therapies Team. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of students with epilepsy and/or autism, evaluating the impact of these conditions on their communicative competence, and delivering therapy sessions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible and able to work as part of a team. They will also be responsible for training staff and carers on communication and eating/drinking topics, and participating in staff induction as required.
