Responsibilities:

  • Oversee decommissioning activities and Health Physics Surveys, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage the Health Physics team effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration to guarantee accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Provide comprehensive support for operational activities, including on-site monitoring and emergency response.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in radiological protection principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Health Physics policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds level 1 in radiological protection or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in conducting Health Physics surveys and managing radioactive waste streams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of IOSH Managing Safely is a plus.
