We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Long Marston, working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance employees and contractors, ensuring the site operates safely and within Sims policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
  • Risk assessment of maintenance jobs by staff / contractors
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and warehouses
  • Complete an agreed target number of safety conversations per month
  • Perform toolbox talks with direct reports
  • Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
  • Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager
  • Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Manager
  • Complete performance reviews for direct reports
  • Support and develop maintenance team members
  • Maintenance
  • Creates and administers the weekly plan (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)
  • Maintains warehouses and booking in/out of parts
  • Coordinate suppliers, to include raising POs for parts and services
  • Ensures availability of parts / critical spares
  • Ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance if required
  • Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
  • Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
  • ICT skills including Microsoft Office
