Maintenance Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to supervise maintenance employees and contractors, ensuring the site operates safely and within Sims policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work in one of our key sites, Long Marston, under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
- Risk assessment of maintenance jobs by staff / contractors
- Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and warehouses
- Complete an agreed target number of safety conversations per month
- Perform toolbox talks with direct reports
- Avoid and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
- Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager
- Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Manager
- Complete performance reviews for direct reports
- Support and develop maintenance team members
- Maintenance
- Creates and administers the weekly plan (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)
- Maintains warehouses and booking in/out of parts
- Coordinate suppliers, to include raising POs for parts and services
- Ensures availability of parts / critical spares
- Ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance if required
- Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
- Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
- ICT skills including Microsoft Office
