About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Coordinator to join our team at Innospec Inc. in a Production Activity Manager role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities, managing raw materials, and ensuring optimal utilization of storage tanks and ISOs. This role involves overseeing shop floor activities, coordinating with production teams, and monitoring production progress to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environment standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shop Floor Coordination:
    • Oversee daily shop floor activities to ensure production targets and daily output are met.
    • Coordinate with production teams to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
    • Monitor production progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
    • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environment standards.
  • Raw Material Management:
    • Manage inventory and movement of raw materials within designated areas.
    • Coordinate with the supply chain and manufacturing logistics team to ensure timely material availability.
    • Conduct weekly stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Implement inventory control measures to optimize storage and minimize waste.
  • Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
    • Conduct safety checks and inspections within the area.
    • Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
    • Promote a safety-first culture among the team.
  • Maintenance Coordination:
    • Support maintenance activities by providing necessary information and assistance.
    • Coordinate with maintenance and Shift Team Leader to schedule equipment repairs and maintenance.
    • Ensure production schedules are adjusted to accommodate planned maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • HNC qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, influence decision-making, and drive positive change.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Safety awareness and knowledge of relevant regulations.
