Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the completion of payrolls for 35,000 colleagues over 43 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls, with weekly, lunar, and monthly pay frequencies.
  • Lead the team in meeting key deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to a high standard.
  • Promote best practices and ensure the team prioritizes our colleagues' needs.
  • Train the team on payroll processing and legislative changes, monitor their performance, and support their career development.
  • Proactively identify trends in queries and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues at their source.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team and across the business.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with high-volume payrolls.
  • A solid understanding of payroll, benefits, and general legislation, including offshore legislation knowledge.
  • Strong time management and coordination skills to manage the team's workload.
  • People-focused with a desire to see the team succeed.
  • A desire to learn and continuously improve.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain pay queries to colleagues and team members.
