Payroll Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our Head Office team in Bury. As a key member of our payroll team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing of payrolls for our 35,000 colleagues across 43 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the completion of payrolls within tight deadlines and to a high quality standard.
- Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals to meet key performance indicators and service level agreements.
- Promote best practice and ensure the team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service to our colleagues.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the payroll team.
- Monitor and analyze payroll trends and queries, and work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues at source.
- Provide guidance and support to the team and other departments as required.
- Proven experience of working with high volume payrolls and managing a team of payroll professionals.
- Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and general legislation, including offshore legislation.
- Excellent time management and coordination skills to meet key deadlines.
- People-focused with a desire to see the team succeed.
- Ability to learn and continuously improve.
- Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to break down complex payroll queries and make them understandable for colleagues and team members.
