Job Title: Learning Disabilities Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a Learning Disabilities Service in Tonbridge, Kent.

About the Role:

The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives and make informed choices about their care.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting service users with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Encouraging independence and promoting community involvement
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals
  • Participating in person-centred planning and key-working to achieve individual goals
  • Providing emotional support and advocacy as needed

The working hours are 36 per week, with the ability to work day shifts, evenings, and sleep-ins on a rota basis. Sleep-ins are paid at an additional rate of £80.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the housing and support sector, ideally with learning disabilities
  • Understanding of the principles of quality support and person-centred planning
  • Ability to travel across the region as required
