**Job Overview**

The State of Ohio is seeking a highly skilled Ergonomist to join our team. As an Ergonomist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the public.

**About the Job**

We are offering a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 per year, based on experience and location.

This position requires a strong background in industrial engineering or physical sciences, with 12 months of experience in private sector or government agencies performing similar duties. A valid driver's license is also required.

You will be responsible for conducting complex ergonomic surveys and investigations, applying advanced methodologies related to biomechanics and human factors engineering, and developing training programs for staff and public. You will also represent the Safety and Hygiene department at meetings with employers, trade associations, unions, and safety organizations.

This position may require travel, occasional overnight stays, and extended work hours. You must be comfortable working in various environments, including those with noise, dirt, temperature extremes, and other industrial hazards.
