We are seeking an experienced Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager to join our team at Fanhams Hall. As a key member of our Conference and Banqueting department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our events and conferences.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure that all Conference and Banqueting operations run successfully and in line with guest requirements.
- Manage the team and work alongside them, leading by example and demonstrating luxury standards.
- Support the operational teams in delivering exceptional standards.
- Lead from the front by running and overseeing events, remaining hands-on within this busy food and beverage operation.
- Ensure that all C&B department standards remain consistent in the absence of the C&B Manager.
- Build a strong relationship with every client, ensuring a warm welcome and thorough briefing to check every detail and establish other requirements.
- Assist the C&B Manager in the recruitment and development of permanent and casual team members.
- Support the training of the team to enable them to deliver a consistently high level of service.
- Optimise opportunities to hit and exceed budgeted targets.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager who has a minimum of 2 years' supervisory/management experience in a similar 4 to 5 star standard hotel within a Conference and Banqueting department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service experience, a commitment to delivering high standards, and the ability to listen and respond to guest needs.
They will also have flexibility to work different shift patterns, be well-presented, and have good time-keeping and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and respond to a range of different work situations.
We are looking for someone who can use initiative and has problem-solving skills, and who is committed to delivering exceptional service to our guests.
