LMA Recruitment is working with a global financial institution who are seeking a talented and motivated Risk Assistant to join their dynamic risk management team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. As a Risk Assistant, you will be working within the risk department and will be primarily responsible for supporting the department's operational resilience projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the operational resilience project by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of business continuity plans, testing procedures, and severe and plausible scenario analyses.
- Providing ad-hoc support on other areas of operational resilience for the organization.
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of business continuity plans to ensure ongoing operational resilience.
- Monitoring and reporting of risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) and incident reporting into local governance, heads of department, and related stakeholders.
- Working with the head of department to ensure the organization is compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, financial engineering, or law would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional risk management certifications such as PRMIA, FRM, or IRM would be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and people skills.
- Previous experience in the financial industry or a related field would be preferred but not essential.
