Business Analyst I Role

The Business Analyst I role provides a foundation in the principles and processes of the analysis practice, enabling analysts to take on more responsibility and specialization in systems analysis, business analysis, or a hybrid role.

Junior analysts work under the supervision and support of more experienced analysts to build their analysis skill set and application and business knowledge, and to complete the work assigned within the agreed timelines and with the required quality.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Developing a deep understanding of the analysis process and principles.
  • Building knowledge of how our applications support business processes.
  • Configuring the application to meet client requirements, with support from more experienced analysts.
  • Assisting in the analysis of business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business systems technology that meets the needs of the organization.
  • Assisting in establishing specifications and acceptance criteria based on business requirements, with high-level support from more experienced analysts.
  • Building a joint understanding of requirements across stakeholders (analysts, developers, testers, project management, product owners).
  • Assisting during User Acceptance Testing.
  • Performing other duties commensurate with the grade of the role.
Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience working in an analysis role or demonstrating analysis skills through experiences.
  • Knowledge of effectively gathering, managing, and documenting requirements.
  • Understanding of the structure and processes of the London Insurance Market.
  • Understanding of how the product supports users in their daily roles.
  • Understanding of how the application can be used and configured.
