Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Transformation Governance Specialist to join a leading business just outside of Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a background in business transformation and a focus on governance and project financials.

Main Objectives
  • Operate key programme governance controls and processes to ensure successful project implementation within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the workflow of projects into group programmes, prioritising and scheduling demand against available resources, while collaborating with IT, operations, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Roll-up status for executive and divisional reporting, leveraging broad business understanding and deep process knowledge.
  • Support a small transformation team by embedding and operating governance processes, including project initiation, change management, progress measurement, and management, clarity on success criteria, to completion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project initiation documentation and business cases, ensuring projects meet business objectives and resource/time/cost/benefits are well understood and prioritised.
  • Assess risks and returns associated with strategic initiatives, defining KPIs and performance metrics to measure their success.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and develop transformation plans, working closely with operational teams, IT, Finance, and department heads.
  • Communicate effectively with executive, support office stakeholders, and divisional leadership, providing regular updates on programme and strategic initiative progress.
Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in Portfolio/Programme management, with a PMO background and finance capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Effective communication skills, understanding of data systems and tools, and ability to identify challenges and resolve them quickly.

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and benefits that reflect our commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
