Teaching Assistant Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and work in schools in Aylesbury and the surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all children to develop and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual support to students with special educational needs, assisting with academic tasks, social skills, and daily activities.
- Work closely with teachers and special education staff to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the learning style and ability of each student.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support to help students navigate challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and report on student progress, helping to adjust educational strategies as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Familiarity with various learning disabilities and intervention strategies is an asset.
- Any relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, Childcare) will be advantageous.
