Job Description

Advanced Utility Networks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Authorized Person to join our team as a Senior Electrical Operations Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) installations, overseeing field operations, and championing a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Electrical Network Plans: Develop meticulous switching programs and actively contribute to the testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems.
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Promote a culture of safety by implementing robust safety practices, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating audits to ensure a positive Health and Safety environment.
  • Lead and Develop the Team: Play a pivotal role in team development and continuous improvement efforts, collaborating with the management team to elevate team performance.
Requirements:
  • Electrical Network Experience: A robust background as a Senior Authorized Person in the electricity sector, with relevant competency certificates and comprehensive training would be ideal.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Essential certifications including NRSWA, SSSTS, EUSR, and a valid driving license.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: An action-oriented mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within an Independent Connections Provider (ICP) setting and familiarity with Jointing would be advantageous but not essential.
