About the Role

GSK is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team in Barnard Castle, UK. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical tests on API, finished products, and intermediates to support the operation of the laboratory function.
  • Enter data onto company computer systems and ensure accuracy.
  • Check colleagues' work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work in a compliant manner and ensure adherence to GxP and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Perform equipment performance checks and calibration.
  • Create, review, and update laboratory documentation as required.
Requirements
  • HNC in Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, or a related scientific subject (or relevant experience).
  • Understanding and ability to apply GxP principles.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and/or quality roles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of analytical testing such as HPLC, dissolution, and UV Assay.
  • Knowledge of IT systems such as LIFT, Empower, VQMS, and SAP.
