Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at GSK Barnard Castle. As a key supplier of some of GSK's blockbuster products, our site contributes revenues of ~$2Bn annually.

• Perform analyses on API, finished products/bulks/intermediates and product stability samples to support the operation of the laboratory function and to meet the business needs of GSK.
• Enter data onto company computer systems.
• Checking colleagues work for accuracy.
• Work in a compliant manner and ensure compliance with GxP and Health and Safety legislation.
• Perform equipment performance checks/calibration.
• Create, review and update laboratory documentation as required.

• HNC ideally in Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy or a related scientific subject (or relevant experience)
• Understanding and ability to apply GxP principles
• Experience in manufacturing processes and/or quality role

• Knowledge of analytical testing such as HPLC, dissolution, UV Assay.
• Knowledge of IT systems such as LIFT, Empower, VQMS, SAP.
