Job Title: Data Editor

Fastmarkets is a leading provider of price reporting, events, and intelligence services for the commodities market. We are seeking a skilled Data Editor to join our team.

Job Summary

The Data Editor will be responsible for driving Fastmarkets' price reporting strategy in the biofuels and feedstock markets. This will involve producing high-level content, engaging with the industry, and acting as an ambassador for the Fastmarkets brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategy for producing high-level content, including market reporting, focus pieces, and interviews.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to plan and execute content-driven events.
  • Work with the marketing team to align content with strategic goals and ensure consistency of message.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to build relationships and stay informed about market trends.
  • Assess and approve prices for certain strategic markets as required.
  • Guide and mentor reporters to ensure high-quality content is produced.
Requirements
  • Strong journalism skills and writing flair.
  • Experience working in a price reporting agency (PRA) or similar industry.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically about the long-term goals of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Project management skills to ensure timely and successful implementation of new initiatives.
