We are seeking a skilled Data Editor to join our World News Desk team. As a Data Editor, you will be responsible for commissioning and editing critical news stories and features in Europe and across our international network.

You will have a keen eye for detail and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with our team of correspondents and editors will be essential in delivering high-quality content to our readers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commission stories with the confidence to make big calls and give our coverage a distinct edge
  2. Edit a wide range of stories swiftly and accurately, from short news pieces to in-depth reads
  3. Ensure our stories are presented in the most compelling way possible, pulling in readers with sharp headlines and strong leads
  4. Spearhead digital storytelling projects and be ready to publish/produce across multiple platforms
  5. Present the day's top global stories at newsroom meetings
  6. Weekend shifts are required as part of the team rota
What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced foreign correspondent with a desire to move into editing or an editor with regional knowledge and reporting experience. You will have a strong understanding of Europe and what interests a business reader, and be able to bring complex political stories to life.

You will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with our team of correspondents and editors to deliver high-quality content to our readers.
