About Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

As the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge, we are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

This key leadership role involves driving operational excellence, delivering high-quality patient-centred care, and shaping the Trust's future. You will be responsible for performance improvement in key areas, including RTT, cancer, and DM01 standards, and overseeing the elective recovery programme.

  • Drive strategic change initiatives to improve organisational performance across healthcare systems.
  • Champion patient safety, quality, and operational efficiency across all services.
  • Lead on capacity planning, modelling, and the delivery of financial programmes.
  • Coordinate monthly assurance reporting for operational performance and provide insights into performance drivers.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-quality services.

£120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
