We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our team at Edinburgh Napier University. Our team is currently partnering with Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit on a project funded by the NIHR HTA to evaluate the effectiveness of short-duration antibiotic therapy in critically ill patients with sepsis. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a Process Evaluation of a UK-wide RCT called SHORTER, which aims to explore how the intervention is working in critical care and assess its content and delivery.

This is an ideal opportunity for a researcher to develop leadership skills and apply their expertise in intensive care settings. You will work closely with clinical and research teams at study sites and the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit, collecting data through observations and interviews. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, including completed or near-completion PhD or equivalent academic attainment, is essential for this role.

The salary for this position is £45,163 per annum, and the contract is fixed-term from 01 March 2025 to 31 August 2026. The hours are part-time, 21 hours per week.
