Job Title: Cancer Care Coordinator Uro-Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Coordinator Uro-Oncology Specialist to join our team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a key member of our Oncology Team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to patients with urological cancers.

Job Summary

As a Cancer Care Coordinator Uro-Oncology Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients with urological cancers, ensuring that they receive timely and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the care of patients with urological cancers, including scheduling appointments and investigations.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and support.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Monitor and report on patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in cancer care.
Requirements
  • QCF or BTEC or equivalent (NVQ) Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care/Clinical Health.
  • Or completion of NHSP Care Support Worker Development Programme with 3 months experience as a Health Care Support Worker + an English and Maths qualification at Level 1.
  • Experience of working with people in a caring setting.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
