Health Visitor Operational Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Visitor to take on a senior leadership role within our team. As a Health Visitor Operational Lead, you will be responsible for providing visible, professional leadership to your team and playing a key role in shaping policies, practices, and strategic initiatives to deliver our service to high standards.
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge and understanding of current public health issues and a sound clinical knowledge of health visiting practice. They will be able to provide expert clinical knowledge and opinion within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and to partner organisations.
The role will involve leading by example, displaying a coaching style of leadership that mirrors the ethos and core values of the organisation, which inspires and empowers staff. You will also be responsible for workforce planning and recruitment, taking responsibility for the service activity performance, identifying potential risks, and initiating action plans to minimize these.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to move into a Band 7 senior role where you will have the chance to develop your skills and experience in operational planning, team leadership, and budgetary management. You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in fostering our culture of lifelong learning and reflective practice in developing the team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) with evidence of continued professional development. They will also have a car driver's license and be able to travel to multiple sites.

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have:
- Registered Nurse/Midwife/RMN qualification
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) qualification
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Management training
They will also have a broad knowledge and understanding of current public health issues and a sound clinical knowledge of health visiting practice.

- Broad knowledge and understanding of current public health issues and a sound clinical knowledge of health visiting practice
- Able to provide expert clinical knowledge and opinion within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and to partner organisations
- Highly developed knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practice
- Competent to use a range of IT systems and databases
- Understanding of data in performance monitoring of services
They will also have the ability to travel to multiple sites and be able to lead by example, displaying a coaching style of leadership that mirrors the ethos and core values of the organisation.
