Job Description for Healthcare Specialist Lecturer

New College Lanarkshire invites applications for the position of Healthcare Specialist Lecturer, based at our Coatbridge Campus.

This is a 30 hours per week, permanent position with a salary range of £40,170 - £48,357 per annum pro rata.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum, specifically within the Health and Social Care sector.

Essential qualifications include a Degree Level (SCQF level 9) or above, and formal work experience in a relevant discipline. Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and/or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess learners within the Health and Social Care department
  • Develop and deliver innovative curricula to meet industry needs
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students
