Sales Representative

Job Summary:
Advanced Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities at existing and new accounts within assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities at existing and new accounts within assigned areas.
- Coordinate activities to increase sales and establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction at all accounts.
- Support distributors in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing sales opportunities at existing and new accounts within assigned areas.
- Penetrate all levels of assigned accounts on a face-to-face basis to ensure an intimate, timely, and firsthand knowledge of customer issues.
- Produce quotations and book orders for all sales activity at assigned accounts.
- Provide initial level of technical support at accounts.
- Arrange for advanced levels of support from AE customer service, applications, engineering, marketing, etc.
- Develop account profiles, including competitive positions and sales volume, sales opportunities, company direction, decision makers, etc.
- Produce and update account strategies and tactics.
- Forecast sales in accordance with AE processes and procedures.
- Work closely with AE marketing and Engineering to ensure rapid response to opportunities and effective solution to customer issues at account.
- Travel as needed to properly perform all aspects of duties for remote customers.
Requirements:
- Proven sales aptitude and sales skills, both tactically and strategically.
- Good working knowledge of thin film, semiconductor, and advanced coatings processes.
- Excellent communication skills -- in writing, by phone, and group and one-on-one presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to condense information into action lists.
- Ability to exercise strong follow-up on commitments.
- Strong team player.
- Good problem solving skills and strength in managing conflicts.
- Computer literacy with confidence in using Windows, spreadsheets (Excel), word processors (Word), and presentation graphics (PowerPoint) and CRM.
- Ability to comprehend and relate technical product and process specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years semiconductor equipment or component sales experience, preferred in power electronics used for plasma based vacuum applications.
- Proven experience selling and/or supporting a variety of high-tech accounts.
- Working knowledge of thin film industry very important -- semiconductor, or advanced coatings.
- Prefer experience with vacuum science and plasma processing systems.
Education:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, BSEE or equivalent education and/or experience.
Work Environment:
Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.). Local travel is required; approximately 20-40% should be expected.
