Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at ProCivils Recruitment Solutions. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting tenders for infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Appraise tender documents and prepare material and subcontract enquiries.
  • Attend strategy and opportunity meetings with the project team.
  • Visit sites to assess specific risks and contribute to the design development process.
  • Prepare analytical cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
  • Adjudicate and compare subcontractor quotations and manage technical queries.
  • Manage risk throughout the tender process and prepare tender risk registers.
  • Presentation of tenders to senior management, highlighting major commercial risks.
  • Ensure smooth project handover to operational teams.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction or related field (essential).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience in analytical estimating up to a value of £25m.
  • Knowledge of various contract forms including traditional, partnering, design & build, and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong numerical skills and technical construction knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
