Senior Estimator Opportunity

Rail and Civil Engineering professionals, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our team in the South West Region.

As a key member of our Pre-Construction team, you will be responsible for estimating contracts and projects in the pre-contract/tender phase for various multidisciplinary rail and infrastructure projects.

Our client, a Global Tier 1 Main Contractor, is involved in some of the most renowned UK projects, including HS2, Hinkley, and Crossrail.

The successful candidate will lead the department and provide support to the Head of Estimating, ensuring the delivery of high-quality estimates and project costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and detailed estimates and calculate project costs
  • Manage financial, technical, and contractual risks
  • Maximize gross profit to fulfill contracts
  • Lead and manage a team of estimators
  • Support the bid team through the tender process
  • Offer regular forecasts and reports on project progress
Requirements:

Previous experience as an Estimator in rail or civil engineering/infrastructure is essential, including multidisciplinary projects and/or frameworks.

This role may be suitable for someone comfortable with remote work, with occasional travel to Cambridge for business or tender meetings.
