Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated individual to develop their skills in teaching and supporting children in a KS2 setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality education to our KS2 children, playing an active role in providing them with a solid foundation for their academic journey.
  • Working collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement engaging lessons and activities.
  • Supporting the classroom teacher in managing pupil behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Engaging with parents and carers to promote student progress and well-being.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and stay up-to-date with curriculum requirements.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, or relevant experience working in a school setting.
  • Recent experience of teaching or supporting in a classroom in the UK.
  • High expectations of all children for both behaviour and outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
