About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team in Boston, Lincolnshire. As an Intervention Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional help to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Job Description

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will work closely with support staff and parents to design and implement effective intervention strategies tailored to the needs of individual students. Your specialist skills and training will enable you to support pupils and enhance their learning and progress.

  • You will undertake programmes linked to maths and english learning at a lower level, preparing and maintaining equipment/resources required to meet lesson plans and assist pupils in their use.
  • You will work 1:1 with children, taking responsibility for their learning and implementing behaviour management strategies as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity.
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework across all Key Stages and the National Curriculum.
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
