As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, you will play a key role in our multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients with complex physical health needs.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Clinical Psychology team at Kings College Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health and experience of working in a busy medical environment.
Main Duties:
- To contribute to the delivery of a specialist applied psychology service in the Kings College Hospital Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service
- To provide specialist psychological assessment, treatment and monitoring of outcomes for patients with cystic fibrosis
- To provide clinical consultation and supervision to other members of the multidisciplinary team
- To take a role in service evaluation, audit, research, teaching and policy development
Requirements:
- A doctoral level qualification in Applied Psychology (e.g. professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration
- Registration with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of patients with physical health problems
- Experience of receiving clinical supervision across a range of client needs
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working in physical health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. They will also have advanced knowledge of psychological assessment and clinical psychometrics, as well as experience of conducting research.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £54,320 - £60,981 per annum, inclusive of HCA. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, pension scheme, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
