Role Overview

A teaching assistant plays a crucial role in supporting students' learning and development. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom, preparing materials, and implementing educational programs.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team in Plymouth. The successful candidate will have experience working with primary school-aged children and pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). A passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classrooms
  2. Prepare and maintain resources and equipment
  3. Implement individualized learning plans and strategies for students with SEN
  4. Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  5. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to achieve educational goals

Salary and Benefits

The daily rate for this role is approximately £92-£97 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. Our agency offers excellent rates paid using the PAYE system. You will also benefit from:

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience working with primary school-aged children and pupils with SEN
  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent

  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team
