Blair West Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to support the finance team in producing management accounts, analysis, and commentary. This role will also involve business partnering opportunities across different internal units.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the production of management accounts, including analysis and commentary, and assist with strategic decision making by providing insight through financial reporting. They will also look to add value with business partnering opportunities across different internal units.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation and production of monthly management accounts, with wider month-end close support.
Business partner across other parts of the organisational structure, setting budgets and monitoring with forecasts and reporting.
Support with external audit processes.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Management of statutory/regulatory returns, including VAT, FEU, and NSO.
Wider ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis projects.
Management of Finance team controls framework, including systems.
Support in the development of the wider finance team.
Qualified candidates will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with a qualification in ACA/ACCA/CIMA, and experience in producing monthly management accounts. They will also be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
