Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer

At Siemens Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer to lead and handle various projects within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and delivered to the desired results.

About the Role

The Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure that project objectives are met and that the needs of all parties are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Defining project scope, goals, and objectives, and identifying partners and stakeholders.
  • Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, and coordinating the activities of project team personnel and functional departments.
  • Allocating resources (human, material, and financial) to tasks and supervising their performance to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Creating schedules and achieving agreed target dates for tasks, while also supervising progress against the agreed plan and taking corrective actions when required.
  • Monitoring project financials to identify and correct deviations from the project plan, and developing a project budget and controlling costs during the project lifecycle.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and responding to potential risks and unforeseen events that could impact project success, and implementing measures to mitigate or minimize their impact.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet the required quality standards and customer expectations, through the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Identifying and engaging customers, handling their expectations, and maintaining effective communication channels to ensure their needs are met throughout the project.
  • Motivating, guiding, and leading the project team to perform at their best, resolving issues and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Bringing the project to a successful conclusion by evaluating achievements, analyzing lessons learned, and formally closing the project, including the release of resources and the final assessment of the project's results.


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a combination of skills, knowledge, experience, and personal attributes to successfully lead projects to achieve great results. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in project management, business administration, or a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications like APM or IPMA, which can demonstrate competency in the discipline.
  • Proficiency in using project management software.
  • Ability to effectively connect with team members, partners, clients, and suppliers, both in written and verbal forms.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills, able to collaborate with internal and external team members to reach agreements and resolve issues.
  • Adaptability and flexibility, able to adapt to changing environments and project requirements and be open to learning new tools, technologies, and methodologies as needed.
