About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Church in Ireland's residential care home in Belfast. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Main Responsibilities:- Care Planning and Delivery: Assist with designing, planning, and implementing individual care plans for residents, monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Leadership and Training: Supervise staff, promote teamwork, and lead daily prayers; assist with Quality Assurance programs, staff training, and support to ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Administration: Handle enquiries, maintain records, and adhere to confidentiality and client access protocols.
- Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care (or equivalent); willingness to work towards Level 3 and Assessor Awards.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years caring for older people, people with disabilities, or mental health needs; medication competency required within 4 weeks of start date.
- Attributes: Good organisational, interpersonal, leadership, communication, and reporting skills; ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
