Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrogeological Specialist to join our team in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate hydrogeologist to work on water-related challenges faced by clients in the quarrying and mining sector.

In this role, you will be part of the Minerals and Resources team within the Energy group, working closely with other teams such as the Hydrology team, Environmental Permitting team, and Water team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. You will collect, manage, and interpret data from various sources, including field investigations.
  2. You will prepare hydrogeological impact assessments to identify potential impacts on the water environment and recommend mitigation measures.
  3. You will produce water monitoring schemes to ensure compliance with planning permissions and regulatory requirements.
  4. You will conduct hydrogeological risk assessments using bespoke software to assess the potential risk to the water environment from landfill operation or deposit of waste on land as a recovery operation.
  5. You will support the Hydrology team with flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for our clients.
